Panhandle Growers was established in 1987 in the farming
community of Allentown in Santa Rosa County, Florida. Beginning with twenty
acres of in ground production, our objective was to supply the central Gulf
Coast with quality 2"-4" caliper specimen trees.

From this humble beginning we have grown to 200 acres of field production
remaining focused on producing quality landscaping trees. In the late
1990's, Panhandle Growers began limited production of container grown trees.
We now have a growing selection for your landscaping needs. With our
increase in production, we are now capable of supplying your needs
throughout the Southeast.
Well drained, sandy loam
soils, proper in-house liner production, root pruning, micro irrigation and
variety specific curing or hardening off processes insure the urban
"thrive-ability" of trees from Panhandle Growers. The best promoters of our
products are the hundreds of satisfied customers we service.
During production, special attention is given by our skilled employees to
properly prune, shape and ensure straight central leader development.

At shipment, trees are properly hydrated and skillfully lifted from our
holding areas by the root ball itself and never by the tree. Heads are
carefully tied, trees are properly stacked and securely tarped at no extra
charge to the customer.
We always enjoy
visits from individuals and groups in the horticultural industry. So that we
can be good hosts, please
call in advance if you would like a tour of the nursery.
